In this project, we were put to the task of remodeling and designing the interior of a Georgian style home, located in the old sector of La Dehesa.

On top of a solid base structure, we sought to create an aesthetic that is reminiscent of tradition, which relates very well to the architecture of this home, but that also has a contemporary vision.

In order to do so, we reinterpreted some markedly classical elements, such as the moulding work on the walls and the boiserie wood panelling that we applied in some of the spaces. We also used wallpaper to recall textiles with traditional motifs, such as a revamped version of the Toile de Jouy, which contribute interest and identity to the different rooms.

Art is another star feature in this project. As an addition to the collection that the homeowners, a young lawyer couple, already possessed, we included two pieces from different eras. Among the works we incorporated were photographs and paintings by contemporary artists as well as works by Camilo Mori and other Chilean classics from the first half of the 20th Century.

A large part of the homeā€™s furnishings were specially designed by our office and produced by the company Artin, in the style of traditional antique furniture.

ā€œCertain markedly classical elements, such as the moulding we applied to the walls and some boiserie wood panelling, greatly contribute to the creation of this traditional aesthetic with a contemporary perspective.ā€
