Business Center is a meeting and coworking space, located in an industrial storage yard in the municipality of Renca, Chile.

The owners of the complex made the spot-on decision to designate one of its warehouses for these new purposes, to make work more comfortable for those who rent storage space from them while giving their property an added value.

In this context, we decided to work with the concepts of maritime transport and the containers in which goods are shipped for export and import.

The prevailing material throughout the space is the corrugated galvanized iron with which shipping containers are traditionally built, which was painted in its classic red and blue hues.

Inside this spacious warehouse, we designed large open areas occupied by conference rooms, which replicate the exact proportions of shipping containers but on a larger scale. In addition to these structures, there are a variety of spaces conceived for today’s work scenarios: for individuals and groups, and a café for coffee breaks. In the back of the main section, we installed a courtyard that brings the outside, inside. Here, we included two attractive murals by the artist Onlyjoke, a tree, and a lamp that evokes the moon, in addition to amphitheater-style work seating.
