Enzo

2012 |Santiago, Chile

This restaurant was inspired by the story of Enzo, an interesting character in fiction, who is a great traveler and die-hard collector of furniture and objects from different parts of the world, and stores his acquisitions in a warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.

As a starting point, we sought to recreate the aesthetic of a New York City warehouse in this interior, located in a mall, by covering the walls with aged brick, and through the introduction of beams and columns made of steel and recycled wood from demolitions.

We defined the existence of two separate spaces. One with a more intimate ambience is decorated with photographs from the protagonistā€™s travels and large benches with capitone-style leather upholstery. The other space is more sizeable and is divided into different sections with a variation of chair styles and table sizes.

ā€œOur intervention of the walls and ceiling, and placements of a variety of objects that reference Enzoā€™s story, contribute to the creation of a surprising and unexpected atmosphere.ā€
