This project was conceived for the Sur Diseño space at Casa FOA 2018. The goal of Casa FOA is to serve as an instance for different interior designers to show their work by giving a particular use to a home. On this occasion, our office sought to step outside what is considered traditional, reinterpreting rarely explored areas of the house.
The main concept was to create a cross between two very different spaces: the library and the bar. This convergence of spaces and roles gave rise to a fictitious place with a personality more like that of an art installation, although functional, which created new possibilities in inhabiting the room. We worked with the aesthetic of Color Block, with nods to the Memphis Group of the 1980s, which, at the same time, looks toward Art Deco and Postmodernism.
