Living Casa FOA 2017

2017 |Santiago, Chile

For the 2017 version of Casa FOA, our office developed the interior design of the main living room for the brand BoConcept. The idea was to distance BoConcept from the Nordic line of design it generally follows, giving the brand a twist toward a seventies aesthetic, using the art and the protagonist from the film ā€œA Single Manā€ by Tom Ford as a reference.

We wanted to create a warm environment that would provide a welcoming experience, and in doing so, attract the public. In order to do this, it was important to select the right color palette, materials, and illumination. We chose red, orange, green, and gold tones to form an elegant, masculine palette. Some walls and the ceiling were fitted with wood. One wall was covered with stone-look porcelain tile in a diamond pattern. We opted for a carpet with a geometric design, and the back wall was covered with an embossed chipboard that forms a relief mural. The presence of these geometric forms on different planes, along with plants and very careful illumination, played a fundamental role in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

ā€œGeometric patterns on the walls and floor create a dialogue with lamps and decorative objects to narrate the story and personality of a fictional character.ā€
